Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are reservations required?
A: Yes. All reservations must be made in advance through Hipcamp or TheDyrt. We do not accept cash or on-site bookings.
Q: Can I bring a Jeep, truck camper, or small trailer?
A: Yes—with limitations. While we are primarily a tent-only site, Jeep camping, rooftop tents, truck bed setups, and 4WD/AWD vehicle-based camping are welcome at the Pond Side site.
A guest successfully camped here with a Jeep and a 15′ off-road teardrop trailer. That said, access requires a vehicle with good clearance and 4WD, especially in wet or muddy conditions.
🚫 Not suitable for standard RVs, low-clearance trailers, or anything dependent on paved or gravel roads.
❓ Unsure about your setup? Message us before booking—we’re happy to help!
Q: What amenities are available?
A: Campsites include a fire ring, access to a clean porta-potty (located near the pole barn), and potable well water via spigots near the main buildings. Firewood is available for purchase.
Q: Can we swim in the pond?
A: Yes, at your own risk. We recommend wearing swim shoes due to natural underwater terrain and occasional debris.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome! Please clean up after them and ensure they do not disturb wildlife or our free-range chickens.
Q: Are campfires allowed?
A: Absolutely! Campfires are permitted in designated fire rings. You may bring your own firewood or purchase locally sourced bundles from us. Fire bans may be in effect during extremely dry conditions—please observe posted rules.
Q: What’s nearby to explore?
A: We’re close to scenic country roads, local parks, trails, fishing spots, and charming small towns. Check out our Nearby Experiences page for recommendations.
Q: Can we participate in farm activities?
A: Occasionally! Depending on the season, guests might observe or help with light chores like collecting eggs or learning about crops. While we’re not a full agritourism destination, we’re happy to share a glimpse of daily farm life.
